Alif Handicraft is based right here in House 711 in Amagarh Shakti Colony. If you know the Delhi Bypass near Transport Nagar, we are actually pretty easy to find once you get into the smaller lanes. Our workshop area is usually full of pieces being worked on at any given time, so there is always a bit of sawdust or fabric scraps lying on the floor. It is a family-run kind of setup and we like it that way. We have been in this exact spot for several years now and have seen the whole neighborhood change quite a bit around us. Most of the people who work here live just a few minutes away, so it really feels like a community effort. We spend most of our mornings getting the tools ready and then it is just quiet work until we stop for lunch. We don't have a big showroom or a shiny neon sign out front to grab attention. Most folks find us through word of mouth or by just walking past the colony and seeing us at work. It gets a bit crowded in the storage room when we have a big batch ready to go out, but we always manage to find space. Sometimes we sit outside on the steps when the weather is nice just to take a short break. We handle everything from the initial cutting to the final packing right here on the premises.
