Toshikka Handicraft

You can find us at 54 Amer Road in Ganesh Colony. We are right across from Jal Mahal, which is a nice view to have every day when we open the doors. Being near the Police Line makes it easy for people to give directions to our place. We deal in handicrafts, mostly things that represent the local style. The shop isn't huge, but we pack a lot into the space we have. We spend a lot of time talking to the artisans who bring their work to us. It’s a lot of back and forth to make sure things look right. Since we are on the road to Amer, we see a lot of people passing by on their way to the fort. We aren't a big corporation; it's just a few of us running the show. We keep the inventory changing so there is always something different on the shelves. Sometimes we have to move things around to make room for bigger pieces. The traffic on Amer Road can be a bit much in the evenings, but we are used to the noise by now. We just try to keep the shop open and ready for whoever walks in. We don't have a big marketing team or anything like that. We just rely on being in a good spot and having things people like. It’s a simple life running a shop like this, but we enjoy seeing the different crafts and meeting folks.
