The Superiors

The Superiors is tucked away near Sanganeri Gate on Agra Road, which is a spot that stays crowded from morning until late at night. You can hear the buses and the rickshaws constantly moving past the shop. It is a bit of a hectic area, but that’s the charm of being near the old gate. We started out with a small idea and just kept going, filling the shelves and making sure we had what people were looking for. The shop isn't some massive showroom, but we use the space we have as best as we can. I often find myself standing near the entrance just watching the flow of people on Agra Road. It’s a lot of work keeping things organized when you have so many different items coming and going. Sometimes the power goes out and we just sit there with a torch until it comes back on, chatting with whoever is inside. We don’t use any polished sales pitches or big slogans to get people through the door. Usually, it’s just someone passing by who needs a specific thing and remembers we are here. The walls could probably use a fresh coat of paint, but the current shade has grown on me. It’s a simple life running a business in such a historic part of town, and we just take it one customer at a time, trying to keep things straightforward and honest for everyone who steps inside the door.
