The Rajasthan Solar Association

Living and working in Jaipur, you can’t really ignore how much sun we get here. Our office is located over at Trinity Mall, in unit 602 on the Swej Farm New Sanganer Road. It’s a bit of a strange feeling being based in a mall, but it seems to work out okay for us. We aren't selling clothes or fast food like the other shops downstairs. Instead, we are an association for the solar industry. People from across Rajasthan call us or drop by to talk. Most of the time we are just sitting around a wooden table talking about things like government regulations or new technology. It involves a lot of meetings and a mountain of paperwork, to be honest. The mall gets very crowded on the weekends with families, but during the work week it is mostly just us and the other office tenants. Our space is quite simple, with just a few chairs and some big folders full of documents. It isn't a large office, but it is enough for what we need to do. Sometimes we have small gatherings or just sit and have tea with people who want to know more about installing solar panels. The view from our window is just the busy road and some other buildings. The traffic on New Sanganer Road is usually a nightmare in the evenings, so we try to time our exit carefully. We’re just a small group of people keeping the solar community in Rajasthan connected.
