The New India Assurance Co Ltd Nehru Place

Our office is on Tonk Road, specifically in the Nehru Place area. If you’ve ever driven down Tonk Road, you know how hectic it gets with the buses and all the people. Nehru Place is a big landmark, so we are right in the thick of it. The office itself is pretty standard for a place that handles insurance. We have rows of desks with computer monitors that stay on all day. There is always a stack of files on someone’s desk that needs attention. We mostly deal with renewals and people coming in to report things that went wrong. It can get a bit loud when the lobby fills up with customers. We have a water cooler in the corner that everyone gathers around to talk for a minute. The walls are a plain off-white, and the carpet is a bit worn down in the spots where people walk the most. We don’t really do anything fancy here. We just sit, type, and talk to people about their policies. Sometimes the printer jams and someone has to spend twenty minutes fixing it, which usually results in some ink on their hands. It’s just how it is. By the end of the day, we are all ready to head out into the traffic and go home. We just keep things ticking along, one policy at a time, making sure the records are in order and the doors are locked.
