Our spot is on New Sanganer Road, right across from the PNB. We are in the building with the architect’s name on it, O-10-A. It’s a busy area and finding a place to park a scooter can be a real headache some mornings. Inside, the office is mostly full of filing cabinets and desks that have seen better days. We have a small corner where we keep the files, and it feels like we are always running out of space for them. The walls are a plain color, and we have a few pictures of family or calendars hanging up to make it look a bit more like home. People come in and out all day, mostly locals from around the neighborhood. We know the guard at the bank across the street pretty well since we see him every day. Sometimes the internet goes slow and we just have to wait it out, which gives us time to talk. It’s a steady kind of job, nothing fancy or fast. We try to keep the place cool with the air conditioner, but it struggles when the sun hits the front of the building in the afternoon. Most days end with us making sure all the drawers are locked and the lights are off before we head out into the traffic on Sanganer Road.
