The Bajirao Classes is right near the Jaipur G P O at Kata Chouraha. It’s a busy intersection and there is always the sound of horns and people shouting outside the windows. Inside, we have rows of benches and desks that have seen a lot of use over the years. Some of the fans wobble a bit when they are on the high setting, but they keep the Jaipur heat away well enough. We use whiteboards that have faint ghosts of old lessons on them. The floor is just tile that we mop every morning before the first group arrives. It’s a straightforward setup. We don't have a big fancy entrance or a waiting lounge with soft chairs. Students just come in, find a spot, and get to work. There are usually some bags piled up near the door. The walls have some old schedules taped up with yellowing tape. It’s the kind of place where the focus is on the books and the talking, not the decor. We keep a water cooler in the corner because everyone gets thirsty after an hour of sitting there. Outside, Kata Chouraha is always buzzing, and you can smell the street food from the vendors nearby. It’s a practical environment for learning without any of the extra bells and whistles. We’ve been here in this part of Jaipur for a while and most people know the building. It’s just a simple set of rooms where we do our teaching.
