We started Marut Classes in Pratap Nagar a few years ago because there was a need for some extra help for the kids around here. It isn't a huge place, just a couple of rooms with some desks and boards we put up on the walls. Usually, the afternoons get pretty loud when the school batches finish and everyone starts arriving at the same time. We spend a lot of time just going over the same chapters until it sticks in their heads. There is a small tea stall nearby where we go when we have a break, which is a nice relief. Some days are long, especially during exams when everyone is stressed out and asking questions at once. We don’t have fancy stuff here, just the basics like pens, paper, and enough chairs for everyone to sit down. The walls could probably use a new coat of paint, but the current color does the job fine for now. Living and working in Pratap Nagar means we see the same faces every day, which makes the place feel more like a neighborhood thing than a big business. Sometimes parents stop by just to talk about how their kids are doing or to ask about dates for the next term. We try to keep the fans running well because it gets quite hot in the summer months. It’s just us here, trying to get through the syllabus and making sure the students actually understand what they are reading instead of just memorizing it all.
