Nahargarh Road is always a bit chaotic no matter what time of day it is. Being near the 5th Circle in Chandpole Bazar means there is never a quiet moment around the shop. We have been at this spot for a long time. The building is old, like most things in this part of the city, and you just get used to the sound of rickshaws and people shouting outside. I spend a lot of my time just organizing the stock in the back room because it is easy for things to get messy when you are busy. Tejasv isn't a very big shop, but it serves the purpose for the people living nearby. People come in looking for specific things and usually they find what they want without much trouble. I do not try to push anyone to buy anything they do not need. They know their own business better than I do. Lunch is usually a quick affair brought from home in a tiffin, eaten right here while keeping an eye on the door. In the summer, the thick stone walls help a little with the heat, but not much. Most of our regulars live right in the narrow lanes behind us. They drop in while walking to the main market. I like seeing the familiar faces every day. It feels like we are just a small part of the neighborhood fabric. Sometimes the tea seller brings a cup over and we chat.
