Talent Gym

Our gym is up on the floor above Jhodhpur Misthan Bhandar in the Khurra Brahmpuri area of Jaipur. It is quite a busy spot because of the sweet shop downstairs. You can often smell the samosas and kachoris while you are trying to run on the treadmill, which is a bit of a challenge for some of us. The stairs leading up are a little narrow but once you are inside, there is enough space to get a good workout in. We have been here for a long time now and most of the people who come here live just a few streets away. It is a neighborhood place where everyone knows each other. We have the usual stuff like some weights, a few benches, and machines that we try to keep in working order. Sometimes a fan might squeak or the music is a bit too loud, but that is just how it is. It is not one of those fancy places with air conditioning that feels like an ice box. We just open the windows and let the air in. Brahmpuri is a crowded part of town, so if you are coming by bike, you just have to find a spot wherever you can on the street. We keep it simple here. People come, do their sets, chat for a minute, and head back to their work. It is a practical spot for staying fit without any of the extra fuss.
