Taj Collection

If you are looking for us, we are right behind Beniwal Kanta in Suraj Colony. Our spot is A-37. It’s a bit of a maze to get back here, but once you find the big neem tree, you’re basically there. We’ve been running Taj Collection out of this space for a while now. It’s not a huge place, so we have to stack things pretty high to fit everything. Sometimes it feels like the boxes are going to fall over, but we know where everything is. The light in the back room isn’t great, so we usually work near the front door where the sun comes in. My cousin helps out with the packing when we get busy. We don’t have a website or anything like that, we just talk to people who come by or call us on the phone. The neighbors are nice, though their kids sometimes kick a ball into our small yard. We have a tiny desk where we keep the ledger. Everything is handwritten. It takes longer but we like it that way. We drink a lot of coffee during the winter because the building gets quite cold. In the monsoon, we have to watch out for leaks in the roof. We just put a bucket under the drips and keep on working. It’s just a normal day for us, nothing special. We try to be honest about what we can do and how long it will take. It's just a regular local business without any big secrets.
