Surabhi International

We are located in the Old Bank Building at Ghat Gate Bazar. It’s a historic kind of place, and you can tell by the walls and the high ceilings. Surabhi International occupies a section of it where we handle all our business. The Bazar outside is always loud and full of energy, which keeps us awake. We don't have a modern office setup. Most of our furniture has been around as long as the building has. We spend our days sorting through items and talking to people on the phone. Sometimes the power goes out, and we just sit and wait or use flashlights to keep working. It’s not a perfect environment, but it has a lot of soul. We don’t use any fancy management software; we mostly use notebooks and a couple of old computers that take forever to start. It’s a bit slow-paced compared to the big cities, but we like it that way. We know the merchants downstairs and usually get our lunch from the street stalls nearby. There’s always a lot of dust from the street, but we just wipe off the desks and keep going. We don’t have any big corporate goals. We just want to make sure the boxes get where they need to go and that our families are taken care of. That’s enough for us. It’s just a small operation in an old building doing its best.
