Surabhi Handicrafts & Handlooms

We have been at 85 Tripoliya Bazar Main Road for a good while now. It gets pretty loud outside with all the traffic on the main road, but that is just how it is here. Most days start with us opening the metal shutters and dusting off the shelves. We have lots of handlooms and different handicraft items piled up in the corners. Sometimes it is a bit messy when new stock comes in, but we manage to find a place for everything. People walk in looking for something specific for their house or maybe a gift. We just show them what we have on the racks. It is mostly cottons and things made by hand by people we know. The light in the shop isn't always the brightest, but you can see the colors well enough once you get close. We spend a lot of time folding and refolding things. My cousin helps out when it gets busy in the afternoons. We do not have a fancy website or anything like that. If someone needs a piece of cloth or a small wood carving, they just stop by. It is a small space, so things get cramped, especially when we get a big delivery. We usually eat our lunch in the back room while listening to the noise from the bazaar. It is just a regular shop doing its thing day after day. Sometimes we trade tea with the other shopkeepers. That is pretty much our life here on the main road.
