Sun Waves

Sun Waves is a small setup located at S-88 in Barkat Nagar, right near the Tonk Phatak area in Jaipur. If you know Jaipur at all, you know this area is always crowded and full of life throughout the day. We are tucked away in a spot that’s quite easy to miss if you aren't looking specifically for the number. We do stuff with solar energy, mainly because it's so hot here in Rajasthan and it seems like a total waste not to use all that sun for something good. The office is basically just a room with a few tables and some solar components sitting in the corner waiting to be used. It’s not a big corporate office with a reception; it’s more like a workshop where we talk to people about how they can save some money on their electricity bills. We spend a lot of our time on roofs checking the angles and making sure things are bolted down right so they don't move in the wind. The dust in Jaipur is a real problem for the panels, so we talk a lot about cleaning them too. We’ve been here for a bit and mostly deal with the locals in the neighborhood. It’s just me and a couple of other guys who know the wiring and the installation stuff. We don’t have a big website or a dedicated marketing person. We just answer the phone and go out to the sites when someone calls us.
