Sun Shine Jaipur. You’ll find us at Shop No. F-17 in the Swan Bhumi Complex. It’s located in Haldiyo Ka Rasta, which is right in the middle of the Dara Market and Johri Market area. If you know Jaipur, you know these markets are always full of tourists and locals looking for something. Our shop is inside the complex, so it’s a little bit cooler than being right on the street, but it’s still pretty warm. The space is small, maybe smaller than people expect. We have rows of hangers and some glass counters where we keep the smaller items. The walls are covered in colorful patterns because of all the stock we have on display. Haldiyo Ka Rasta is a very old part of the city, and the streets are very narrow. Sometimes we have to carry bundles of goods for a long way because the vehicles can’t get close to the complex. It’s a lot of manual work. We open up early and stay until the market starts to quiet down in the evening. There is a lot of haggling and talking all day. It can be exhausting, but it’s the way business works here. We just try to keep the shop tidy, though it’s hard when so many people are coming in and out looking at things.
