Shivam Collections

Our shop, Shivam Collections, is down in the basement of Gaurav Tower in Malviya Nagar. We are in unit K-25. Malviya Nagar is a really active area, and Gaurav Tower is almost always full of young people hanging out and shopping. Being in the basement means we don't get any natural sunlight, so we have to keep the bright lights on all day long. It’s a bit of a cozy space, but it can feel a little tight when we have more than a few people inside the shop at once. We carry a lot of different items, so the racks are usually packed pretty full. It’s definitely not the kind of place where everything is perfectly spaced out like a museum. We don't have a big staff working here, usually just one or two of us at a time. We spend a lot of our day folding clothes and putting things back on the hangers after people look through them. The basement can get a bit stuffy during the afternoons, but we have a good fan that keeps the air moving. People come down here looking for a good deal or just to see if we have anything new that they like. We don't do any big advertising or promotions. Most of our customers just stumble upon us while they’re walking around the rest of the tower. It’s a simple business. We aren't trying to change the world, just sell some things and pay the bills.
