Styleish Hair Saloon

It gets pretty loud around Subhash Chowk by nine in the morning. That is when I usually get to Styleish Hair Saloon and start moving the chairs around. The shop is right near Char Darwaja so there is always someone walking by or a bike honking. I have been in this spot in Jaipur for a while now. The walls are not perfect but the mirrors are clean enough for what we do. Usually, the first thing is to get the water ready and sweep the floor from the day before. People come in and sit down on the old chairs. We don't have much fancy stuff here. Just the regular scissors and the clippers that sometimes make too much noise. You can hear the traffic outside while the fan hums overhead. It is a simple place. Sometimes it gets hot in the afternoon and the shop feels small. I keep a few old magazines on the table but most people just look at their phones while they wait. The floor gets covered in hair pretty fast once the lunch rush starts. Near the end of the day, I look out toward the chowk and wait for things to quiet down. It is just a normal shop doing normal work for the neighborhood folks who live around the 302002 area. Nothing too complicated goes on here. We just cut hair and keep the place running every day.
