Srk Industries

Being located out in the Vishwakarma Industrial Area means we are always surrounded by a lot of heavy noise and big trucks moving around. Srk Industries is just one of many small units operating in this section of the city. Our workspace is mostly functional, with simple concrete floors and very high ceilings to keep the heat from being too bad. It gets pretty loud when the machinery is running, so we often have to talk loudly or use hand signals to hear each other over the clanging metal. There is usually a lot of dust in the air because of all the manufacturing and construction going on in the neighborhood. We have a small office section partitioned off with some plywood where we keep the computer and all the paper files. It's not really a place meant for visitors, just a spot where the actual work happens day after day. We all wear sturdy shoes and don't worry much about getting our hands dirty with grease or oil during the shift. The lunch break is usually at one o'clock, and we all sit near the main gate where there's a bit of a breeze coming through the alley. The water cooler is definitely the most popular spot in the whole building during the summer months. We deal with a lot of heavy materials and wooden shipping crates. Every morning starts with checking the machines and making sure we have enough supplies to last until evening.
