Puriya Rubber Industries

Puriya Rubber Industries is tucked away in Gopalpura, specifically at G 1-3. It’s an industrial area, so the whole street has that smell of grease and burnt rubber, which we don’t even notice anymore. Our place is a bit cramped because of all the molds and the raw rubber sheets we have stacked up against the walls. The floor is stained with oil, and the machines are quite old, but they still run okay if you know which lever to pull. We mostly make small parts that people need for their own projects or repairs. It’s a small operation, just a handful of us working the presses and trimming the edges of the parts by hand. It’s repetitive work, but it keeps us busy from morning until the sun goes down. We don't have a website or any of that stuff; most people just find us through word of mouth or by walking down the lane. The tea guy comes around twice a day, and that’s usually when we take a break and sit on the concrete steps out front. It’s a bit messy and loud, but it’s a living. We’ve been at this G 1-3 spot for years, and we know exactly how much pressure the old boiler can take before it starts acting up. It’s just how things are in a small factory like ours, where the work is more important than how the place looks.
