We operate Veeco Rubber Rolls out of a shed in Jhotwara Industrial Area 1-A. It’s a noisy and somewhat dirty environment, as you’d expect from a place that makes industrial rollers. The smell of raw rubber and chemicals is something you never really get used to, but after a few hours each morning, you stop noticing it. We have these big machines that grind and shape the rubber, and they require constant maintenance to keep them from acting up. Our days are filled with the sound of heavy machinery and the shouting of workers over the noise. We mostly supply to local factories and printing presses that need their rollers resurfaced or replaced. It’s heavy work, and everything we make is covered in a bit of dust by the time it’s ready to be shipped out. Jhotwara is always busy with trucks and trailers, so getting stuff in and out can be a real headache sometimes. We don't have a sales team or a fancy website; most of our work comes from people who have been using us for years. It gets incredibly hot in here during the summer months, and the fans don't do much more than move the warm air around. We just keep at it because the orders keep coming in. It’s a basic industrial life, with grease on our hands and a lot of heavy lifting, but we’ve been doing it at 1-A for a long time now. We just focus on the machines.
