Srarf Handicraft

We are tucked away at Paldi Wala Bhawan, right in Khawas Ji Ka Rasta near the Jaipur GPO. It’s one of those narrow lanes where things have been the same for years. We deal with handicrafts, mostly stuff made by hand by people we’ve known for a long time. The space is a bit crowded with boxes and finished pieces waiting to be sent out. It’s not a shiny showroom. It feels more like a workshop because that's basically what it is. You can smell the materials when you walk in. Sometimes the light isn't the best in the back rooms, but we manage. We spend our days checking the pieces and packing them up carefully. It takes time to do things by hand, so we don't rush the process. People in the neighborhood know us, and we know them. It’s a busy street with lots of walkers and bikes passing by our door every minute. We don't have a big marketing team or anything like that. It’s just us handling the orders as they come in. Some days are slower than others, but there’s always something to organize or a shelf to tidy up. We’ve stayed in this building because it’s central and everyone knows where the GPO is. It’s just a honest way to make a living, working with things people make with their own hands. It gets a bit hot in the afternoons but the thick walls help.
