Smart Hair Art is located at Shop No. 33 in Sector 3 of Pratap Nagar. We are on Azad Marg, very close to Laxmi Sweets. If you know where the sweet shop is, you can easily find us. The shop is in a good spot because people often stop for a snack and then realize they need a haircut. It’s a small shop, maybe not as big as the ones in the center of Jaipur, but it serves the people of Pratap Nagar well. We have a few chairs and the walls are decorated with some pictures of different hair styles, though most people just ask for the same thing every time. The air inside smells like shaving cream and talcum powder. We have a small bench for people to wait and we usually have a newspaper lying around for them to read. It’s a quiet life here. We see the same faces every month. The kids from the nearby houses come in with their fathers on Sundays. We don't have any fancy air conditioning, just a couple of wall fans that keep the air moving. We just try to do a neat job so people come back next time. It’s a simple business run by people who live nearby. We like being part of this neighborhood. We are usually open from morning until the market closes down and the lights go out.
