Anushka Handicrafts

You can find Anushka Handicrafts at H-2095, Phase-4 of the Sitapura Industrial Area. Our workshop is usually a bit of a mess, with wood shavings, bits of fabric, and paint cans scattered around. It’s a place where things are actually made by hand, so it doesn't have that sterile feel of a modern factory. We have several artisans who sit together, often listening to the radio while they work on their pieces. The lighting could be better, but they have a rhythm that comes from years of practice. It’s an industrial zone, so outside there is the constant rumble of traffic and other factories, but inside it feels a bit different. We make all sorts of decorative items and small furniture. Sometimes a piece doesn't come out exactly like the one before it, but that is just what happens when you aren't using big machines to stamp things out. I’m usually busy checking the finished items for any major flaws or talking to suppliers about getting better materials. Sitapura is a huge place, and it’s easy to get lost in all the phases, but we’ve been in Phase-4 for quite some time now. We don't have a big sales team; we just focus on finishing the orders we have on hand. It’s a lot of manual labor and long hours, but seeing a finished item ready for its new home is a good feeling. We’re just a small part of the big industrial landscape in this area.
