You can find Shyam Trade Co. at 129 Govind Nagar Extension East, right off Amer Road. It’s a location that gets a lot of traffic because of all the people heading toward the forts and monuments. We see plenty of buses and cars go past our door every single hour. Our building is a simple one, tucked back a little from the main noise. Inside, things are usually a bit cluttered. We deal with a lot of different items, so there are always crates and boxes stacked in the corners. We’ve tried to organize it better, but new stuff arrives before we can finish sorting the old stuff. It’s a constant cycle. The air gets a bit dusty being so close to the road, but we keep the windows open anyway to get a breeze. We don’t have any slick marketing people or a big sales team. It’s usually just a couple of us handling the orders and talking to the people who stop in. We know most of the other shop owners around here. We might spend ten minutes talking about the weather or the local news before we even get to talking about business. That’s just the way things go in this part of town. We don’t promise anything impossible. We just try to be fair and keep the trade moving. It’s a living, and it’s been our living for a good many years now.
