Shubam Hair Cutting Salon is right here in Sanganer. Most days we open up early because people around here have jobs to get to. It is just a small place with the basic things you need for a haircut. The fans keep things moving when it gets hot in Jaipur. We have been in this spot for a while now. Some people come in every two weeks, others we only see once a month. There are a few chairs and mirrors that have seen better days but they work fine. Most of the time there is some talk about the weather or local news going on. We don't have anything fancy like big city shops. Just the scissors, the clippers, and some spray bottles. Sometimes it gets a bit crowded on Sundays and people have to wait on the bench outside. It is nothing special to look at from the street but it is where we work every day. Usually, the floor has some hair on it until we get a second to sweep it up between customers. Kids come in with their dads and they usually wiggle around a lot in the chair. We just try to get the job done so people can go about their day. Sanganer is a busy area so there is always noise from the road coming inside. That is how it is here. Most folks just want a simple cut and that is what we do.
