Shri Vaishnav Handicraft

We run our workshop at J 508 A in the Jhotwara Industrial Area. This is where all the actual work happens, and it is usually a bit noisy with the sound of tools and machinery. Unlike a retail shop, our place is all about the making process. You will find the smell of wood, polish, and sometimes paint hanging in the air depending on what we are working on that day. Jhotwara is a crowded part of the city, and the industrial area is even more packed with small units like ours. The space is filled with raw materials and finished pieces waiting to be packed up. We don't have a big showroom or anything like that. If you come by, you’ll likely see us in our work clothes, covered in a bit of dust. We focus on the handicrafts that the region is known for, though we keep things pretty simple. The lighting inside isn't the best, but we know where every tool is kept. Most of the craftsmen who work here have been doing this since they were young men. We spend our lunch breaks sitting together in the shade of the small tree outside the gate. It’s not a glamorous job, and the hours can be long when we have a big order to finish, but there is a certain satisfaction in seeing a finished piece. We just try to do honest work and keep the workshop running smoothly every day.
