At Shri Shyam Crafts, we work out of 172 Murlipura in the Rameshwar Dham area, right on Kedia Palace Road. Our place is more of a workshop than a fancy store. We spend our time surrounded by different materials and tools used for making our crafts. It can get a little messy with scraps of wood or fabric on the floor, but that is how you know work is getting done. We are not a corporate office. It is just a few of us here putting things together. The street outside, Kedia Palace Road, can get quite busy with people heading to the market or going home. We have been at this location for a while, and the neighbors are all familiar faces to us. We don't spend money on big advertisements. Usually, people just see our sign or hear about us from someone else in Murlipura. We like to keep things simple. We wake up, head to the shop, and start working on whatever project is currently on the table. Sometimes it takes longer than expected to finish a piece, but we don't like to rush things. It is about doing the work properly. We have a few shelves where we put the finished items, but they don't stay there long before someone picks them up. It’s a quiet life of making things by hand and we enjoy the process we follow every day.
