Shree Vandan

Shree Vandan is located at CC-205 in Jawahar Nagar, right by the Gole Market area. This is a very old and crowded part of the city where the streets are narrow and the buildings are packed tightly together. Our shop is right in the thick of it. There is a constant stream of people, rickshaws, and delivery carts passing by our door from morning until night. It is noisy and chaotic, but that is the way we like it. We have been in this location for many years, and the interior of the shop reflects that. The walls could use a fresh coat of paint and the wooden shelves are sagging a bit under the weight of the stock. We handle all sorts of trading and general goods here. We don't use much in the way of modern technology; most of our accounts are still kept in thick paper ledgers. We know almost everyone in the market, from the other shopkeepers to the people who come in every week to buy their supplies. It is a very personal way of doing business. We sit on stools behind the counter and chat with whoever walks in. There is always a glass of water or a cup of chai ready for a visitor. We don't have a mission statement or a corporate strategy. We just open the shutters in the morning and see what the day brings. It is a busy, traditional life in the heart of the market.
