Shree Mohan Gents Parlour

People know us because we are near the Shani Mandir here on Tonk Road. Parwati Nagar is where we spend most of our time at the shop. It is a busy part of Jaipur, so there is always noise from the cars and bikes outside. The shop is just a basic place with a few chairs and some old towels. I’ve been working here for years now. Usually, the mornings are slow, then it picks up around lunch when people have a break. We get a lot of locals who live in the streets behind the temple. They come in for a quick shave or a haircut every few weeks. I like to keep the radio on most of the day, playing old songs. The space is small, but we keep everything in its place. Sometimes the power goes out, and we just sit outside on the steps until it comes back. It’s not a fancy place with air conditioning, just a ceiling fan that works hard in the summer. We have a small mirror that’s a bit chipped at the corner, but you can still see yourself fine. Tonk Road is always moving, but inside here, things feel a bit slower. We know most of the people who walk past. It’s a good spot to be in this neighborhood. We just handle the hair and beards, nothing more than that. It keeps us busy enough throughout the week and we like it that way.
