Our place is at 25 Kartarpura Industrial Area, right near the 22 Godown side. It’s mostly a big space filled with fabric and finished clothes. If you come by, you’ll see rows of sewing machines and a lot of thread everywhere. It gets a bit crowded when a big order is being finished. We spend most of the day cutting patterns or checking the stitching. The light isn't always perfect, but we've got some good lamps for the detailed work. It’s a busy part of town, so there is always a lot of noise from the street coming through the windows. We keep our stock in the back where it stays clean. Most of us have been working with textiles for a long time, so we know how different materials behave. It isn't a retail shop with a fancy window display. It's more of a production spot where the real work happens. Sometimes we have piles of scrap fabric that we need to clear out. We try to keep the coffee pot going because it’s a long day. We don't have a big team, just a few people who know their way around a needle and thread. It’s honest work and we like seeing the final products boxed up and ready to go out. The building is an old one, but it suits us just fine for what we do every day. We usually close up early on Saturdays to get a head start on the weekend chores.
