Down on VKIA Road No 14 at G-1/ 818 O is where you can find Shree Krishna Plastic which is basically my warehouse and workspace. Being in the Vishwakarma Industrial Area means everything is about heavy trucks and lots of dust every single day. We handle a lot of plastic goods here and it is mostly about loading and unloading stuff from the back of lorries. The space is big but it always feels full because plastic items take up so much room even if they are light. I spend most of my time checking the inventory and making sure the counts are right which is harder than it sounds. My clothes usually end up smelling like factory air by the end of the shift. It's not a glamorous job at all but it pays the bills and keeps us busy. I have a few guys who help me with the heavy lifting because I'm not as young as I used to be. The sun hits the metal roof in the afternoon and it gets quite hot inside the unit so we drink a lot of water. There is a small chai stall just around the corner where we take our breaks. We don't do any big advertising or anything because most of our work comes from people who just know we are here on Road 14. It is a tough environment but we have a good routine going now after all these years of being in VKIA and dealing with the daily grind of industrial work.
