If you go down Sirsi Road towards the Officers Campus, you’ll find us at number 207. Shree Home Tuition is run from here, and it’s a fairly straightforward operation. We don’t have fancy signs or a big lobby. It’s just an office where we manage the tutors who visit students in their homes. The neighborhood is mostly quiet, which helps when we’re trying to focus on the schedules. We have a few files tucked away in cabinets and a computer that’s seen a lot of use. A lot of our day is spent on the phone, talking to parents about what their children need. Sometimes we have tutors coming in to pick up materials or just to check in. The room is usually filled with the sound of the fan and the occasional motorbike passing by on Sirsi Road. We don’t have a big marketing team or anything like that. It’s just us doing the work and making sure everything runs smoothly. We’ve lived in Jaipur a long time, so we know the shortcuts and the different colonies. The office is a bit cramped when more than three people are inside, but it works for what we need. We keep a stash of tea and biscuits in the corner for when the afternoons get long. It’s just a local business trying to help students get through their exams one day at a time. The paperwork never seems to end but we stay on top of it.
