Shivam Polymers

Shivam Polymers is based out in the Jhotwara Industrial Area Extension, specifically at Sarna Dungar H 38. Being in an industrial zone means it’s always incredibly noisy and there are big trucks everywhere you look. We work with different polymer materials, which involves a lot of heat and heavy machinery running all day. The smell of hot plastic is something you just get used to after working here for a few days. Our unit at H 38 isn't a place for suits; we wear heavy work clothes and usually have grease or dust on us. It’s a large space with high ceilings, but it feels cramped because of all the equipment and raw materials stacked up in the corners. We follow a tight schedule to get the production done on time. Sarna Dungar is a bit out of the main city, so the commute can be quite long on the bumpy roads. We have a small tea stall nearby where we go for a break when the machines are being serviced. The work is very repetitive but it requires a lot of focus so nothing goes wrong. We’ve been at this location for a while now, watching other neighboring units come and go. It’s a tough environment, especially when the sun is hitting the metal roof in the late afternoon. We don't have any marketing people or fancy offices. It’s just us doing the production work day and night. We just focus on filling the orders and keeping the machines maintained.
