Shiv Hair Dresser

Shiv Hair Dresser is located over in Kotputli near the Ghanta Ghar Mkt in Paota. If you know the clock tower area, you know it stays pretty loud and busy all day long. The shop is tucked in there with all the other local stores. We spend most of our time standing on our feet. It gets tiring by the evening but that is just part of the work. We keep a radio playing most of the time to drown out some of the traffic noise from outside. People stop by when they are done with their shopping in the market. Some guys just want a quick shave before going home. The mirrors have a few smudges and the chairs are older models, but they are comfortable enough. There is always a smell of aftershave and talcum powder in the air here. We don't use any high-end equipment, just the stuff that has worked for years. Sometimes the power goes out and we have to open the door wide to get some light. Life in Kotputli moves at its own pace and we are just a small part of that routine. It is a simple setup for local men who live nearby. We don't have a website or anything like that. People just know where we are. Usually, someone is sitting on the stool talking while someone else gets a haircut. It is a bit dusty sometimes but we keep the tools clean.
