We have been working out of our spot in Sanganer for quite a few years now. The place is located right near Silibari at 16954. If you know the area, you know it gets pretty busy with all the textile work and printing going on around every corner. Our building isn't anything fancy to look at, just a regular place where we get the day's tasks finished. Most mornings start with a bit of a rush to beat the midday heat. The fans hum all day long and there is always someone coming in or out with rolls of fabric or supplies. We have a few rooms filled with stacks of materials and a small desk where the paperwork happens, though the desk is usually covered in scrap paper and pens. The neighbors around us are mostly doing similar things, so it feels like a community of sorts. We have tea breaks together near the front entrance when the weather allows for it. It gets a bit dusty because of the road being so close, but we have gotten used to that over time. We just focus on keeping the machines running and making sure the orders are ready when they need to be. It is a simple way of working, without any big corporate layers or complicated systems. We just show up, do what needs doing, and head home when the sun goes down. It feels like home after all this time.
