Sharma Std

It is usually quite loud here near Choti Chaupar early in the morning. We open up the shutters at Sharma Std and the first thing you hear is the traffic coming from the Kotwali side. It’s a busy part of Jaipur and there’s always something happening right outside our door. Sometimes the cows walk past and the tourists are asking for directions to the main markets. We’ve been at this spot for a while now and most of the people around here know us by name. It’s not a fancy place, just a small shop where we handle the daily work. The walls could probably use a new coat of paint but we haven't found the time yet. Inside, it’s mostly just us doing our thing and making sure the machines are running right. Jaipur gets really hot in the summer so we keep the fans going all day. If you’re walking near Choti Chaupar and see the police station, you’re pretty close to where we are. It’s just a normal workplace with a lot of papers and the smell of tea from the stall next door. We don't have a big corporate office or anything like that. It's just a local spot where we get the work done and talk to the neighbors. Every day feels a bit different depending on who walks in or what’s happening on the street, but that’s just how it goes here.
