Shanker Gents Parlour

We have been running this small shop in Sodala for quite a long time now. It’s Shop No 3, right here in the middle of Jaipur. Most people around the block just call us Shanker’s because that is the name on the board. It is a very simple place, nothing fancy at all. We don’t have those expensive spinning chairs or bright neon lights you see in the malls, just the basic stuff you really need for a decent haircut or a quick shave. Sometimes it gets really crowded on Sunday mornings, so some of the regulars have to sit on the old wooden bench outside and wait their turn. We try our best to keep the floor swept, but you know how it is when it's busy, hair just ends up everywhere. Most of the men from the nearby houses come here because we are close by and we already know exactly how they like their hair done without them saying a word. We usually talk about the cricket scores or whatever is happening in the local news while we work. It is not some big corporate business, just a few of us working hard every day. We open up early and usually lock up late in the evening when the sun goes down. The address is in the 302019 area if you are looking for the pin code. The ceiling fan makes a bit of a clicking noise sometimes, but it does the job and keeps the Jaipur heat away. We mainly do standard cuts and clean shaves for the local working guys.
