Service Mobile World

You have to head up to the 3rd floor, SA 6, at the Jaipur G P O building to find Service Mobile World. It is a bit of a climb, but that is where we do all our work. Our benches are usually covered in tiny screws, dismantled phone screens, and soldering irons. We spend most of the day looking through magnifying glasses at circuit boards that have stopped working. People bring us phones that have fallen in water or have screens shattered into a million pieces. It is quiet work for the most part, except for the sound of some music playing in the background or the hum of the air conditioner. We are not a big fancy outlet with glass walls; it is more like a workshop where things actually get fixed. We keep a lot of spare parts in plastic bins, though finding the right connector for an older model can take some time. Sometimes a repair takes longer than we thought because the parts are hard to get, and we have to explain that to the customer. We also sell some basic accessories like screen guards and sturdy cases because people are tired of breaking their phones. The space is small and functional, with just enough room for a couple of stools and the repair desk. It is a simple operation run by people who know their way around a smartphone's insides.
