Science Campus

We’ve been running Science Campus from this spot at 200 Main Road for a good while now. It’s right in the middle of Rbj Colony here in Jaipur. The building itself is pretty plain, just a regular place where we set up some classrooms for the kids. If you walk past during the day, you can probably hear us talking through different science lessons. We have some whiteboards and a lot of old wooden benches that have seen better days, but they do the job just fine. Most people around here know where we are because we’re right on the main stretch. It gets quite dusty sometimes with all the traffic passing by on the main road, but that’s just how it is in this part of town. We don’t really go in for anything fancy or high-tech. There are a few fans that hum quite loudly when it’s hot, and we usually keep the windows open to get a bit of a breeze. Students from the nearby houses just walk over after their school finishes. It’s a very local thing, really. We spend our time looking at textbooks and trying to make sense of the syllabus. It isn't a massive operation or anything like that. Just a couple of rooms where we try to get some work done every day. Jaipur is a busy place, and Rbj Colony is no different, so things stay moving. We just stay here and keep the doors open for whoever needs to come in and study.
