Being over at Sanganer New Sabji Mandi Terminal Market is busy. Our spot at Muhana A 44 stays crowded because of all the vegetable trucks coming and going. Sawariya Company has been here since the terminal market opened up. It is loud, especially in the early hours before the sun even thinks about coming up. You hear the engines, the shouting of the loaders, and the horns. Our place is not big, just a standard unit in the block. We have crates stacked up everywhere. Sometimes they block the way, and we have to move them just to let someone pass through. The walls are that plain concrete color. We do not have fancy lights, just the overhead tubes that flicker sometimes. It is a lot of paperwork dealing with the daily arrivals. My hands are usually stained from something or other by noon. We get people from all over the state stopping by. It is not the kind of place you come to for a quiet chat, it is all business and moving goods. The floor gets swept once a day but by ten in the morning, it is dirty again. That is just life in a Mandi. We keep a small radio on the shelf to hear the news. It helps pass the time when things slow down after the main rush. We have been at A 44 for a long time now. People know us by the blue door. We have a heavy iron shutter that is a bit hard to pull up in the winter when the grease gets thick. There is a small desk in the corner where I keep the receipt books and a jar of pens that mostly do not work. It is a busy life, but it is what we do every single day without fail.
