If you head down to Gangouri Bazar 668, you’ll find us. The shop goes by the name Murarilal Gajanand Agarwal, which has been the family name for a long time. It’s a traditional kind of place in a very old part of the city. The streets are narrow and usually packed with people buying their daily goods. We open up early, usually around the same time as the other shops nearby. We don't have a website or any of those modern things; we just talk to whoever walks through the door. The building itself is quite old, with thick walls and high ceilings that keep it somewhat cool in the summer. We keep our goods stacked on wooden shelves that have been there for decades. It smells like old paper and the dust from the street, but it feels like home to us. We spend most of the day weighing things out or writing in our ledger books. It’s not a fast-paced life, but it’s a consistent one. People stop by not just to buy things but to chat about the news or the weather. We know which neighbors are having a hard time and who just had a baby. That’s just the way things are in this bazar. We don’t need a big sign to tell people who we are because everyone already knows us after all these years of sitting here.
