Santi Gents Parlour

This is Santi Gents Parlour, and you can find us over in Sodala at Govind Puri. Jaipur has a lot of big fancy places now, but we are just a small shop on a regular street. There isn't even a proper house number on the address, just Na, Govind Puri, but the locals know where we are. We have been here for some time now, just cutting hair for the men in the neighborhood. The shop is simple and we try to keep it tidy, though it’s hard when the wind blows the dust in from the road. Most of our customers are people who live right around the corner. They come in for a chat as much as a haircut. We have a couple of old chairs and a small television that usually has the news or a movie playing. It’s not a place where anyone is in a rush. We take our time and talk about what’s happening in Sodala or how the weather is changing. In the evenings, it gets a bit more crowded when people get home from their jobs. We stay open until late most nights just to make sure everyone gets a turn. It’s just a normal way to earn a living, and we like being part of this little community here. Nothing special happens, just the daily routine of scissors and combs in a quiet part of town. We are always here from morning till night.
