Ayeman Craft

We spend most of our time here in Sanganer near the Sawai Madhopur Railway Bridge. If you know this part of Diggi Malpura Road, you know it gets busy. Our workshop at Ayeman Craft is just a regular place where we get the work done. Having started out just doing small bits and pieces, things grew from there. There is always noise from the trains nearby but we are used to it now. Since we do a lot of handwork, sometimes things take a bit longer than we planned. That is just how it goes when you are making stuff by hand. It’s not a fancy showroom or anything like that. Just some benches, tools, and materials piled up where we can reach them. People stop by to ask about what we are making and we usually have tea sitting around while we talk. The dust from the road comes in sometimes but we just sweep it out and keep going. Most days it’s just us figuring out how to make the next piece look right. No big corporate office or people in suits are found here. It is just a handful of us here every morning until the sun goes down. We handle a lot of different orders and every day is a bit different depending on what people need. Sometimes we are busy with one big thing for a week and other times it is lots of small jobs. We like it this way.
