Samariya Classes

You can find Samariya Classes over at Lalkothi Faskar Marg B 59. It’s a place where students come after their regular school hours to get a bit more help with their studies. The rooms are usually filled with the sound of pens scratching on paper and sometimes a bit of chatter when a break starts. We have benches and blackboards and a lot of books piled up in the corners. It’s a simple setup for learning. We don't have air conditioning in every room and the fans can be a bit noisy in the heat of the summer. Teaching here is about going through the syllabus step by step. We see kids who are struggling and some who just want to do a bit better on their exams. It’s a lot of repetition every day. We stay open late most evenings because that’s when the students are finally free. The neighborhood around B 59 is very familiar to us. We’ve seen many groups of students come and go over the years. We don't use fancy digital boards or expensive software. It’s mostly just sitting down with a textbook and explaining things until it finally clicks for them. Sometimes we have to remind the students to stay quiet so others can focus on their work. It's honest work and it feels good when someone finally understands a difficult topic. We just keep doing our thing here in Lalkothi. It's what we have been doing for a long time and we like it.
