Saloon

Our shop is called Saloon and you can find us at A-36 Sen Colony right on Station Road. Being opposite the railway station in Jaipur means we see a lot of different faces every single day. Some people are just passing through the city and need to look decent for a meeting, while others live nearby and stop in every few weeks for their regular cut. It stays pretty busy because of the trains coming and going at all hours. The floor gets covered in hair quickly but we sweep it up as often as we can between customers. It is a plain setup with mirrors and chairs that have seen better days, but they are comfortable enough for a twenty-minute sit. We do not have a big staff, just a couple of us working the chairs. Sometimes the tea man comes by and we take a short break if the shop is quiet. The traffic noise from Station Road is always there in the background, but you get used to it. We do not do fancy styling or anything like that. People come in for a basic cut or a quick shave. We keep our tools sharp and the water is usually warm enough. If you are waiting for a train and have some time to kill, you might see us there. The sign isn't very big so you have to look for the building number. We just keep working and try to do a decent job.
