Saini Coaching Center is over in Bani Park, which is usually a bit quieter than the rest of the city. We are at Plot Number-297. It’s a plain building, nothing special to look at from the outside. We have a small gate that squeaks when you open it. Inside, we have set up a few classrooms with basic tables. We try to keep things neat, but with so many people coming in and out, there’s always a stray pen or a piece of paper on the floor. The walls are painted a light cream color, though they have some marks where chairs have bumped into them over time. We don’t have a big reception area or anything like that. Usually, someone is just sitting at a desk near the front door to say hello. During the monsoon, the roof leaks a tiny bit in the corner, so we have to move the desks away from that spot. It’s just how things are in these older plots. We have a small courtyard where people stand and talk during the break. The trees outside give a bit of shade, which is nice in the summer months. Most of the kids who come here live nearby, so they just walk or cycle over. It’s a very local feel, like a neighborhood gathering point that happens to be for studying.
