Sahrukh Enterprises

Out here in Shivdaspura on Tonk Road, we run Sahrukh Enterprises. It’s a bit of a drive from the main city. Things are a little slower here, which suits us just fine. We handle various goods and supplies that the local people need for their work and homes. The building isn't anything special. It is just a solid place to keep our stock and sit out of the sun during the afternoon heat. Most mornings start with moving things around to make space for whatever is coming in. We get a lot of truck drivers stopping by because of the location right on the highway. It’s a dusty place because of all the traffic on Tonk Road. We try to keep the inside as clean as we can, though. It’s just me and a couple of guys from the nearby village working here. No fancy titles or uniforms are found in this shop. If something needs to be loaded onto a vehicle, we all just jump in and do it ourselves. We’ve been here for a few years now. Over time, we have gotten to know the regular travelers who pass through. Sometimes we just sit and have tea while waiting for the next delivery to arrive. It’s a simple life and a simple business. Providing what we can to the neighbors is what we do. We plan to stay.
