The shop has been here at Khatipura Kalyan Ji Ki Chuki for a while now. Most people around Jharkhand Mode 3 know where we sit. It’s not a very big place but we keep it busy with all sorts of phone work. You’ll usually find me behind the counter dealing with someone’s cracked screen or helping an uncle get his SIM card working again. It gets quite loud outside with the traffic, especially in the evenings when everyone is heading home. I started this because I always liked taking things apart to see how they tick. Now I do it for a living. We have a lot of regular faces coming in just to say hello or get a quick recharge done. The shelves are mostly full of chargers and those plastic cases people like. Sometimes the internet is slow and it takes forever to download a software update for a customer, but that’s just how it is. It isn’t fancy here. There’s a small fan that rattles in the corner and a stool for people to sit while they wait. We try to get things done as fast as we can, but some repairs take time. Khatipura is a busy spot so there is always something happening outside the door. We just focus on the phones and try to keep the shop tidy enough so people can find what they need. It is a bit dusty sometimes but it is our place. We don't have a big sign but the door is always open.
