Sagar Hair Gents Parlour

Out here in Watika, things move a little slower than in the main Jaipur city. My shop, Sagar Hair Gents Parlour, is right in the Main Market. It is a good location because everyone comes to the market for their groceries and daily needs anyway. We are part of the Sanganer Tehsil area. I have been cutting hair here for quite some time now. In a place like Watika, you get to know every family. I see the grandfathers, the fathers, and the sons all coming to the same chair over the years. It is a basic gents parlour. We do the usual haircuts and shaves. Most men come in on their day off to relax a bit. I keep the radio on most of the time so there is some music or news playing in the background. The shop is simple, with just the essential furniture. I don't believe in having a lot of fancy decorations that don't do anything. People here value hard work and a clean cut. During the festival seasons, the market gets very crowded and we stay open until late at night to make sure everyone gets their turn. It is hard work, standing on my feet all day, but I enjoy talking to the folks from the village and hearing the local news. It is just a straightforward place to get groomed without any trouble. I also make sure the mirrors are always wiped down for the next person.
