Sadhutam Hair Dresser

Sadhutam Hair Dresser is located in Khora Lad Khani, right on the Gothwari Road. Since it’s a bit of a drive out from the main parts of Jaipur, things are a lot quieter here. Our shop is just a small room in a building along the main road. Most days, we get a lot of guys coming in from Chharsa and the surrounding fields after they finish their work. The setup is simple with a couple of mirrors and some old shelves where we keep the combs and lotions. Maybe the walls could use a new coat of paint, but they’ve looked this way for years and nobody complains. A jug of water is usually sitting there for anyone who is thirsty. Being a local spot, you can hear all the gossip about what’s happening in the village while you wait. Instead of a fancy waiting area, we just have some stools and maybe a newspaper if someone left one behind. The road outside stays quiet until a tractor or a truck goes by and kicks up a bit of dust. We try to keep the place clean, but it’s hard with the wind blowing in all the time. People seem to like coming here because we don't rush through the job. Taking our time is important to make sure everything looks okay. It’s just a normal hair shop for normal people living their lives in this part of Jaipur. We have been here a long time and expect to stay.
